Slide 2: Hi everyone, I am —. The topic of today’s presentation is the analysis of the economic issue faced by the population having low income and becoming vulnerable to health problems that are unpreventable and causing the loss of life at a large scale. This issue needs practice change and an implementation plan that will address the health and safety requirements of the low-income population and provide them with effective health and care facilities for improvement in their response (Kreuter et al., 2021). Moreover, if this issue is not addressed timely it can create huge health problems for the population and the healthcare providers resulting in a negative impact on the community and the organization.
The need to resolve the issue is based on specific health plans that are sustainable, feasible, and considerate of the cost of implementation of the change in the practice to ensure the improvement in the health response of the patients having low income and are unable to afford timely interventions of the healthcare providers. The improvement in the health issues for low-income people will decrease the rate of hospital readmissions and increase patient satisfaction (Dhaliwal & Dang, 2024). Financial security is necessary for the organization implementing the change in practice for the improvement in the outcomes of the organization and the overall work performance of the healthcare providers. The solutions should be considerate of the cultural and ethical preferences of the patients for the increase in the well-being of the patients.
Slide 3: The problem regarding the unavailability of healthcare services for the population having low income creates huge health issues including the loss of life due to the delay in the treatment needed thus resulting in the worsening of the situation. The increase in the rate of chronic diseases shows that this vulnerable group of the population is facing unattended health issues which are converting into unpreventable health problems. Chronic diseases need regular management of the health factors and vital signs to ensure improvement in the health situation however for low-income people regular monitoring and intervention of the healthcare providers is not affordable which converts the initial level of chronic diseases into harmful health issues increasing the emergencies for the healthcare providers (Raaijmakers et al., 2023). The conversion of simple health problems to adverse health events not only impacts the patients but severely impacts the reputation of the organization and the response of the community as a whole. The population facing health issues due to low income needs an effective and improved implementation plan that can make health facilities affordable for all without any discriminatory factor and address the gaps in the insurance coverage strategies for the people having no resources to become insured.
Slide 4: The population is greatly affected by the delays in treatment due to their inability to afford high-cost health treatments and early intervention of healthcare providers. This decreases the lifespan of the patients and causes severe health problems that are becoming adverse health events and generating negative responses from the patients regarding the treatment provided to them (Rodziewicz et al., 2024). Moreover, the delays in treatment lead to an increase in the rate of hospital readmissions and increase the cost of emergencies and other extra care for improving the preventable health issues that become adverse due to the low-income issue. It will negatively impact the reputation of the healthcare organization and increase the cost of treatment for the patients thus affecting the performance and resources of the organization. The huge impact is faced by the work staff as being at the front line they have to deal with the delays in the necessary treatments which is emotionally and ethically draining for them.
Slide 5: The implementation of strategies to make healthcare services affordable for all without any discrimination results in the improvement of patient responses along with the satisfaction and well-being of the staff members (Ferreira et al., 2023). Moreover, it will reduce the cost of emergencies and hospital readmissions which will have a positive impact on healthcare organizations. The worsening of diseases due to the delays in the intervention to the
